fat trans ppl deal with a lot of shit and its so sucky because some people will only support skinny trans ppl bc thats all they can conceptualize and accept when trans ppl in actuality come in all different types of bodies
if u dont support fat trans ppl the way u support skinny trans ppl u need to rethink what kind of “ally” u are.
As a fat trans woman this is so true even within the trans community. I’ve had so many other trans women invalidate me, be dismissive of my issues and experience, and so forth simply because of my size. It’s really fucking disappointing to run into.
Y’all should check out the works of Rakeem Cunningham! He photographs a lot of diverse and beautiful people, both cis and trans. As a gay trans man myself, they really help to reassure me that there are gay men beyond photogenic cis twinks and bears. These photographs are from his series Body Pride:
These are from his Trans Professionals series:
Also, check out Jess T Dugan’s photographs of trans and genderqueer people:
As a trans photographer, Jess Dugan is basically my role model. Her photos of elder trans people, To Survive On This Shore, is amazing.
Hawke
was settled into the bed sheets, eyes closes peacefully as he muttered, “No I’m
not.”
Fenris
sighed, rolling his eyes from across the room, “Yes you are, I can see you. Move over, would you?”
“No.”
“Hawke.” Fenris’ voice was stern, but vaguely
amused. It made Hawke smug and he relaxed into the bed sheets even more so,
ready to be as stubborn as he could be.
He was
nearly giddy as he spoke again, “If you want me to move so badly, why don’t you
come over here and make me?”
Hawke
expected Fenris to let out another sigh, but to his surprise, he felt the bed
dip slightly on either side of him. He opened his eyes and looked up, finding
Fenris hovering over him, a mischievous smile on his face.
“Why,
hello there,” Hawke greeted, giving his lover his most loveable, lopsided
smile.
“Don’t
give me that look, Hawke. You know why I’m here.”
“To have
mind-numbingly amazing sex?” Hawke attempted.
Fenris
snorted, “Yes, well, you issued a challenge. I decided to take you up on it.”
Hawke
grinned, “So, no mind-numbingly
amazing sex?”
Fenris
seemed to think about it for a moment, humming, “Maybe later.”
Then with
one swift motion, he rolled Hawke off the bed and onto the floor, and then
proceeded to lounge in the spot that was once Hawke’s.
After a
few moments, Hawke managed to pick himself off the floor and held his hands up,
“Alright, you win. I lose. The bed is yours.”
He
turned as if to leave, as slowly and dramatically as he could manage, but
Fenris called him back, “Hawke, where
do you think you’re going?”
Hawke
turned to face Fenris, shrugging casually. Fenris rolled his eyes, “Get to bed,
would you?”
He was
happy to oblige. Hawke climbed onto the bed and placed his hands on either side
of Fenris’, mimicking the elf’s moves from earlier.
“Are you
planning on throwing me off the bed?” Fenris asked, raising an eyebrow.
Hawke
dipped his head down, placing gentle kisses on Fenris’ ear, murmuring softly, “Does
this answer your question?”
Happy 2019, guess who suddenly remembered her favourite superhero couple and wanted to draw them smooching (me, it was me)
This is one of those drawings that went inexplicably well, so I tried something different with the colouring. I think it looks nice? It’s almost like making an effort makes a difference, huh
homophobes are not allowed to use computers because the inventor of the computer was gay
People think this is just a joke but Alan Turing was the inventor of the computer and his sexuality was illegal in his time (which was not even 100 years ago) and he was arrested. They put him on drugs that destroyed his genius brain and committed suicide a year after being covicted. He was gay and a war hero as well. He helped to break enigma which was a German code that they put all their messages through. He shorted WWII by two years and saved so many lives in the process.
Friendly reminder that if not for Alan Turing you wouldn’t be reading this post and we might be ruled by the nazis
A practice in expression. And I wanted to try animating it cause it’s been a long time since I last played around with that! Colouring style inspired by garama!
